About Us
Faros Boats is a family business based in Stari Grad on the island of Hvar, owned by Vlado Matijević, a Stari Grad native, and Carolyn Zelikow, an American who fell in love with the island and never left.
We take our name from Faros, the ancient Greek name for our island, one of the oldest inhabited places in Europe. Our mission is to make your chapter in our community’s story truly special and memorable.

You can find Faros Boats at the end of Stari Grad Bay, by Café Ploča and Kod Damira, from early morning until sunset every day from June through early September. Our address is Trg Stjepana Radića 5. Please stop by and say hello!

Our Policies
We require a 50% deposit at time of booking, with the balance due 15 days before your reservation.
Full refunds are provided with notice of 30 days or more in advance of your dates.
All reservations cancelled within 30 days of the reservation receive a 50% refund.
If a reservation is cancelled 15 days or less before your reserved dates, the entire payment will be forfeited.
If weather conditions are unsafe for boating, tour customers will receive a full refund. Unfortunately, due to the brevity of Hvar’s season and high demand, there are no other exceptions to our cancellation policy.
